Remember, the above infographic is just regarding Pakistan. Obama has drones killing children and civilians in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and likely several other countries.
Obama just came out and admitted he accidentally killed an American aid worker with a drone strike. Oops. Sorry about that. He “took full responsibility” though. That’s good. Will he be personally penalized in any way whatsoever? Nope. Will he stop using drones to kill innocent people? Nope.
Also remember that if you’re an American, this is where your tax dollars are going. Isn’t that nice?

Most people in the West either don’t care, or they believe that these Drone strikes are necessary for the Orwellian “War on Terrorism”.
This is why the rest of the world either won’t care, or will believe that it will be a good thing when the Government uses them on us too.
It really beats the hell out of being drafted.
Drones while expensive are cheaper than any other kind of warfare.
All warfare has some unintended victims.
The enemy takes hostages and uses them as shields, it did not work did it?
Which is exactly why you never, ever, EVER go to war unless it’s absolutely fucking necessary and you have literally no other option. None of Obama’s wars in Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, et al fall into that category.

Yes I do believe Obama is the second worst president we have had in my lifetime (I am 23 years older than you)

there are so many things wrong with him
but war monger is not one of them.
If anything he does not identify as an American
and does not see America as a separate country from the rest of the world and actually does not fight enough or hard enough for us.
How can you possibly say an American president in the middle of FIVE wars isn’t a warmonger?
Obama is the commander in chief of the US armed forces. He could end all five of these wars at 8am tomorrow morning if he wanted to, including Iraq, all by himself, with the stroke of a pen. But he doesn’t. This is because he’s a warmongering corporatist and an avid supporter of Dick Cheney’s neocon empire.
Just because he’s less of a warmonger than Bush was doesn’t mean he’s not a warmonger. Obama is the very definition of the word. If he was truly worthy of that silly and hypocritical Nobel Prize, he’d end the wars right now and bring the troops and the drones home to where they belong: to defend our borders. Not Iraq’s borders; our borders.
But he won’t do that. He loves these wars. Because he’s a warmonger.

9/11 was far and away the deadliest terrorist attack on US soil. Even taking out the World Trade Centers, it would still be the deadliest just from the Pentagon and Flight 93. Yet even then only 3,000 people died. 3,000 is a lot, but the number of innocent people we’ve killed in response is far bigger than that.
And do we get anything out of these drone strikes? Was Osama bin Laden killed by a drone strike? Actually, the entire reason we sent troops to kill bin Laden was because we wanted proof that he we got the right guy. Why wouldn’t that be the case for any other terrorist leader?
Even for somebody who doesn’t care about innocent lives and think we should just bomb the whole place, the drone strikes only put us in more danger, because for every terrorist we kill 10 more decide to join in retaliation.
Drones are good in theory, since we can fight wars without risking human lives. But there’s no reason we should be doing these bombings.

but a lot of your ideas have to start with a clean slate in a new country.
We are kind of stuck with the history we have.

Approximately 2000 years ago three religions started up.
I think Judaism was first, then Christianity and then Muslim/Islam.
These religions are based on the same stories from about the same time give or take a few hundred years and they have been fighting with each other and are responsible for the majority of wars since then.
Very few of them are innocent anymore.
The Jews and the Christians are about 700 years ahead of the Muslims in chilling out.
Body count is irrelevant.
If a war started in the middle east and everybody was killed except one Jew, one Christian and one Muslim it would just start all over again.
Not fighting is not an option.
Well unless everybody switched to atheism
but that is not going to happen.

We Americans don’t live in the middle east. It’s an entire ocean away. We shouldn’t be over there. It’s a land of pure chaos for thousands of years and it’s none of our business.
Plus, we’re the most powerful nation on Earth, by far, militarily and financially. If they embargo our oil or something like that, we have many, many effective options, most of which have nothing to do with actually killing anyone, as I detailed in my linked post above.

Concern has been mounting recently over a trend on U.S. soil: Radical Islam is trying ever-new ways to sow destruction here. The examples are disturbing.
Over the past several weeks, six Minnesota men have been charged with terrorism, accused of traveling or attempting to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group; two men were arrested in New York as they prepared to join militants in Syria and a third man was arrested in Florida for helping to fund their operation.
Two women from Queens suspected of being a terrorist sympathizer’s were arrested in New York for allegedly plotting to detonate pressure cooker bombs in New York City, and a U.S. Army National Guard member and his cousin were arrested in a terror plot, which included bombing an Illinois armory and attacks on law-enforcement that could’ve killed up to 100 people.

By all accounts, there have been about 70 attempted attacks on American soil since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, but the arrests over the past several weeks shows a dramatic increase in activity in the radical Islamic movement against the West, specifically the United States.
