Awesome nerd moment. They’ve discovered a near-complete skeleton of the most massive land animal in world history, the dinosaur Dreadnoughtus.
The thing weighed 65 tons. That’s 12 elephants. I honestly didn’t know a land-based life form could be that big. How could something like that actually live? How did it actually walk around? Imagine the heart that thing needed to pump blood all over its body. Imagine how much it had to eat to maintain all that muscle and metabolism.
I can just imagine a T-Rex looking up at a Dreadnoughtus and thinking, “Aw, man. How do I kill that thing? I’ll snap my jaw off just biting its foot. Dammit.”
Nature is amazing.
